Hello, I’m Joanne

I started making steamed puddings in 2016.

My mum was a fabulous cook who had a recipe (and matching table linen) for every conceivable occasion. Understandably my love of cooking started from a young age.

I’ve had the privilege of living in Hong Kong and Paris; both centres of culinary excellence , so it’s hardly surprising that food has loomed large in my life.

Of all the desserts that I’ve ever made for family and friends, the traditional steamed pudding has been the most popular.

And so with my husband Brendan  we took the plunge, moved to Yorkshire, bought a steamer and Little Box Kitchen was born!
